Powertex V1.0 Automotive Battery Limited Warranty

Powertex Batteries provides a 2-year limited warranty to the original purchaser, ensuring that our batteries are free from material and workmanship defects. This warranty includes a full free replacement for a period of 2 years. To qualify for a warranty claim, the original purchaser must provide valid proof of purchase. Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Returns will be accepted only from the original owner.

Warranty Exclusions

Physical & Installation Issues (Not Covered)
  • • Damage due to improper installation, abuse, or impact
  • • Modifications or alterations to the battery or its components
  • • Use in custom vehicles with non-stock charging systems
  • • Use in racing or competition applications
  • • Applications for which the battery was not designed

Electrical & Charging Issues (Not Covered)
  • • Short-circuiting or damage from improper wiring
  • • Overcharging due to faulty voltage regulators or incompatible charging systems
  • • Use with aftermarket alternators, regulators, or electrical components not tested with our batteries
  • • Charging with a lead-acid battery charger, jump-starter or trickle charger
  • • Charging above battery's allowed max charging current
  • • Using chargers not specifically designed for 12.8V LiFePO4 lithium batteries
  • • Continuous overcharging above 14.6V
  • • Allowing the battery to drain below 9.8V due to lack of maintenance
  • • Using the battery in applications requiring higher cranking power or reserve capacity than designed
  • • Excessive parasitic drains discharging the battery below 9.8V

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a claim, the original purchaser must submit:

  • • A copy of the original purchase receipt
  • • A completed warranty claim form
  • • Ship the battery to 830 NW 57th Place, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 for inspection

Warranty claims must be handled directly through Powertex Batteries. Dealers and resellers are not authorized to process claims. Before providing a warranty replacement, Powertex Batteries will attempt to diagnose and repair the battery. If a repair is not possible, a replacement battery will be provided within the 2-year warranty period.

Only one warranty replacement is allowed per battery. The replacement unit will retain the remaining warranty period from the original purchase date.

Returns & Shipping

  • • Warranty returns must be shipped by the customer at their expense.
  • • If the battery is deemed defective, Powertex will cover return shipping for the replacement within the continental U.S.
  • • If the battery is not defective, return shipping to the customer is at their expense.
  • • Powertex cannot ship damaged lithium batteries due to shipping regulations.
  • • Customers should follow all DOT regulations when shipping lithium batteries, as improper shipping can result in additional fees.

Non-Warranty Returns

New, unused batteries purchased directly from Powertex Batteries may be returned within 30 days for a refund, subject to inspection. Returns must include:

  • • Original packaging in resalable condition
  • • A copy of the original receipt

A restocking fee may apply, and original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Limitation of Liability

Powertex Batteries' liability is limited to replacement of the battery under the terms outlined above. We disclaim all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Powertex is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including labor costs, lost time, or lost profits.
